Keeping Your Printer Alive and Well

When you have to meet a deadline, nothing is more frustrating than an unresponsive printer. In addition to being technically annoying, malfunctioning printers can also be costly to repair and messy. However, if you can learn how to care and maintain your printer, you might be able to avoid surprise repair sessions before class starts. I want to teach you everything that I know about printers, so you should check out my blog. You will find information on everything from how to clean your system to how to calibrate those print heads. You never know, it could make things a lot easier for you one day.

Planning A Party Or Event? Give Your Paper Products The Theme You Want With Printing Services

The next time you have to plan a party or event, before heading to the store for supplies, consider what you can have done at the print shop. You are not limited as to the colors, theme or design of things when you have them printed. Here are a few of the things you can have printed to your specifications.

Invitations, Place Cards and Thank You Notes

Instead of picking out a pre-made invitation that you need to fill out with a pen, create your own. Use pictures you have taken that represent the event, such as a nicely arranged dinner table for an invitation to a formal dinner. Then add in the text telling of the event, give the date, time, location and any special information that may be need, such as "this is a surprise party."  Use a mail merge program to create the envelopes too. If there will be assigned seating, make the place cards at the same time, using the merging program. You can decide on a special font too, making them look special, and have the theme carried over from the invitations. While at the printers, do not forget to have "Thank You" notes and envelopes printed.

Decorations

A print shop has printers that can print on different materials, and different sizes. You can have a banner, plastic window decorations, posters and cardboard or vinyl wall hangings made. Use a graphics program on your home computer to create the look to the decorations you want or use pictures you have saved to your hard drive. Take the saved file to the print shop. Everything can be individualized and made to fit a theme.

Paper Products

Many printing shops offer additional services for things like napkins, plates, cups and plastic bags. You can create the design and then have the items made for you. If you are going to do this, do not wait until the last minute though. Give the company a couple of weeks to have everything ready for your event.

Brochures

If you are having an event for your business, and want the attendees to have information about the company or your products, have brochures printed up detailing the aspects you want known. You get to choose the style of the brochure and the type of paper that will best fit the event.

Printing your own paper products (at shops like America North Printers) for any and all events will make save you money, keep everything on the same theme and get you excited and into the mood for it. They can also be nice keepsakes for the event for your guests.
