Want To Start Printing Your Artwork? 2 Types Of Printing Processes Explained

If you are doing a lot of artwork and would like to have it printed, this can be done, and your artwork will look beautiful. There are different types of printing processes that you can use, two of which are listed below. This information will help you determine what type of printing process you would like to use.

Four Color Print Process

Many people use the four color process to print their artwork. This is because the colors are very vivid and beautiful. When the artwork is being printed, the image separates into four color separations. This is done by using screens and filters. A special type of software is used to print this type of print process. Four images are transferred to a special type of printing press that has printing plates. Colored inks are used to reproduce the original image in the right colors.

During the printing process the printer starts out with small dots of each color. As the printer is printing, each dot of color separates into separate angles to create the image color are printing. Four color printing process is less expensive when compared to digital or toner-based printing.

Spot Color Print Process

Another type of print process is spot color printing. This type prints vibrant and bright colors. This type also a smaller color range, however. Instead of using four separate colored dots of print, spot printing only uses one color of ink at a time. This type of printing does take longer when compared to the four color print process if there is more than one color. This is because each color is printed separately. For example, the first color is placed on a plate, and then the second color is placed on a second plate and so on.

Once the printing is finished, the colors are then layered onto the type of paper that is being used to create the image. In most cases, this type of printing is used in magazines, colored manuals, and more.

You should hire a company to do the type of print process that you choose. This is because you would likely not have the right type of printer and presses for your artwork and other images. These companies will have everything that is needed and always have all updated printers and plate. This will ensure that your artwork or other images are printed the way you want.
